David and Sandra Tischaefer have owned AREM Property Management, Inc. since 1994. Sandra, as Owner/Broker of AREM, uses her 27 years of Homeowner Association Management (HOA) experience to the benefit of the client. Since beginning with the Sailing Hawks Over Animas Mountain Homeowners Association in 1983, Sandra has expanded her management of HOA’s to include 60 Property Owners Associations and 250 rental properties. Sandra also works as a consultant on many new projects in the area establishing budgets and governing documents for new associations and assisting developers and their attornys in the first phases of their projects.
David provides clients with over 30 years of experience as a General Contractor, consulting on the behalf of HOA and private homeowners to ensure quality improvement projects are completed to bid specifications. He also supervises structural and maintenance repairs of properties and responds to maintenance emergencies when necessary.
Other Staff Members Include:
Rosie McGowen, Associate/Office Manager is a Nationally Board Certified Community Association Manager. Rosie provides professional expertise for Homeowners Associations which allows her to provide excellent service in administration, operational and managerial council to community association boards, including managing budgets and contracts, directing associations personnel and overseeing compliance with association covenants and restrictions. She has over 15 years experience in property management including rental and tax credit properties.
Liz Quezada, Rental/ Leasing Agent
Is in charge of the Rental Properties, handling the inspections, maintenance repair and the re-leasing of the rental units. She also advocates Homeowner and Tenant issues equally and in the best interest of both parties. It is Liz ’s smiling face that will first greet you as you walk through the door.
Janice Zwart, Managing Assistant brings over 18 years experience with customer relations and construction trades, inspecting properties consulting with the Boards of Directors & Rental property owners with maintanence/construction/emergency issues,directing contractors, procurring bids, overseeing landscaping and snow plowing. Janice is prepared to answer Homeowners Association questions along General questions, concerning Homeowners Associations accounting and administration.
Becky Joosten Administrative Assistant brings several years experience with customer service and
restoration care. She will be answering most calls and is cheerfully able to assist or forward calls to whom can answer your questions. Becky also assists Liz with showings and explaining the security deposit and lease process along with taking rent payments.
