Durango, CO,
located in the Southwestern corner of the state offers a wide variety
of activities and beautiful seenery. From a ride through the mountains
on the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad to the famous
cliff dwellings of Mesa Verde National Park, and downhill skiing
at Durango Mountain Resort, Durango has something for everyone.
Activities include hiking, biking, skiing, rafting, horseback riding,
hunting and more. Visitors and locals alike enjoy great shopping
and resruants, including art galleries, specialty shops, grand hotels
and local eateries.
In addtion,
Durango is also home to Fort Lewis College. The school offers an
innovative public liberal arts program with 24 undergraduate degree
programs in the School of Arts & Sciences, Education, and the
professional school of Business Administration.
Durango has
one of the most temporate four-season climates in Colorado. Winters
